Ami is one of our Associate Veterinarians and has been at LFAH since 2003. She is originally from Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Nutrition. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Following her graduation she practiced in Virginia for two years before moving to Colorado. Ami next spent six years at Boulder Emergency Pet Clinic.
Ami and her husband Matt share their home with daughter Morgan, dog Emma, cats Blue & PC, Fissie the goldfish and about 120,000 honeybees. Ami and Matt enjoy spending time outdoors backpacking, rock climbing, skiing and exploring the world with Morgan. Ami’s personal hobbies include making pottery, reading, gardening and bee keeping!
