Your Veterinarian and Technician will educate you on:
Kittens
- Vaccine booster series and why it’s important.
- Vaccines that are needed based on pets/owners life style.
- FVRCP (feline distemper combo)
- FeLV (feline leukemia)
- Rabies
- FeLV/FIV (Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) testing
- Fecal exam and intestinal parasites
- External parasites
- Proper diet
- Behavior and socialization (interacting with other pets and children)
- Grooming and trimming toe nails
- Spaying or neutering and what to expect, retained baby teeth
- Microchipping
Adult Feline: 1-3 years
- Annual Wellness and fecal Exam
- Required and recommended vaccines based on lifestyle of pet.
- Flea and tick preventative when appropriate (e.g. traveling)
- The importance of Baseline blood work as it relates to organ function
kidneys, liver, thyroid, etc)
- Routine dental health
- Diet and body condition
- Behavior issues, socialization and training
- If not spayed or neutered, the importance of alteration and disease prevention

Adult Feline: 4-8 years
- Annual Wellness and fecal exam
- Required and recommended vaccines based on lifestyle of pet.
- Flea and tick preventative when appropriate (e.g. traveling)
- The importance of routine dental cleaning.
- Baseline blood work and it’s importance as it relates to organ function (kidneys, liver, thyroid, etc)
- Senior wellness and LFAH recommended testing.
- What to expect as their pet makes the transition into senior years.
Senior Feline: 8 years and Older
- Annual Wellness and fecal exam.
- Required and recommended vaccines based on lifestyle of pet.
- Senior wellness and its importance.
- Information we get from the following:
- Baseline bloodwork
- Urinalysis
- Blood Pressure
- Radiographs (x-rays) of the chest and abdomen
- Flea and tick prevention if appropriate
- Pain assessment
- Current mobility issues
